Cookies
A plain-language summary of cookies and similar storage on Uncüth’s early join pages.
On the early join experience we use first-party cookies, browser storage, and (when you allow it) short-lived notes of how you arrived. Categories below describe what we do today and what we may do later with your choice.
Essential
Required to run the site securely — for example the signed-in session cookie and any private-beta gate cookies when those flows apply. These stay on so the product can function. Your cookie preference itself is remembered in first-party browser storage so it survives how our hosting forwards requests.
Preferences
Things like your theme choice (light/dark) and a short-lived hint of the email used for a magic link sign-in. These make the experience work as you expect; we do not block the site on them.
Analytics
Only if you choose Accept analytics: we may store a short-lived first-party note of campaign / referral parameters (UTM) so later pages in the same visit can still attribute how you arrived, and we count first-party page visits on key early-join pages. We do not sell this data. Today we do not load Google Analytics, Meta, LinkedIn, or similar third-party analytics scripts for this launch.
If you choose Essential only, we do not send page-visit beacons and we do not keep the UTM continuity cookie.
Advertising
We do not run advertising cookies or ad pixels on the early join experience today. If we introduce advertising or measurement tools later, we will only do so with a clear consent choice (and update this page). Choosing analytics now does not turn on advertising.
You can change your mind by clearing site cookies for this domain and reloading — the banner will ask again. Email consent on the join form (community updates) is separate from cookie analytics.
